Key directions of development in contemporary gender linguistics: constructive-role and feminist

Abstract

The final year project investigates the theoretical and methodological foundations of studying gender stereotypes in linguistics, particularly the concept of stereotypes, their differential features, and their specific manifestations in Ukrainian and English discourses. It analyzes the inventory of lexical and grammatical features of male and female speech, typological manifestations of gender-marked and unmarked utterances of characters. Methods and techniques for analyzing gender stereotypes are developed, and approaches for identifying them in texts from various cultural contexts are proposed.
