Lexical and semantic features of Valerian Pidmohylnyi’s idiostyle

Abstract

In the qualification paper, the lexical-semantic features of Valerian Pidmohylny’s idiolect were studied. Specifically, the concept of idiolect was elucidated; the lexical-semantic macrofields "inner world of a person" and "city" were analyzed; linguistic means of stylization and authorial individuality (metaphors, comparative constructions, symbols and allegories, phraseological expressions and their transformations, etc.) were characterized; and the semantic load of key lexemes was investigated.
