Memory of the Cossacks in the Memorial Space of Ukraine

Abstract

The qualification (master's) thesis examines the memory of the Cossacks in the memorial space of Ukraine. The interpretations and use of the memory of the Cossacks by the Soviet authorities to support their ideological goals are analyzed. The processes of the revival of national memory after the restoration of Ukraine's independence and the current state of the representation of the memory of the Cossacks in the memorial space of our country are considered.
