Charitable and philanthropic activities of large agrarians of Ukraine in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries

Abstract

In the master's thesis, guided by the prosopographic method, various spheres of charitable activity, famous businessmen and agrarians of the 20th century were highlighted. The influence of family upbringing and education on the formation of the worldview of patrons is shown. The formation of the business and the first areas of charitable activity are revealed. The social programs of entrepreneurs were studied, as well as the different views of scientists on the issues of charitable activity were considered. The educational activities of patrons have been covered rather poorly.
