Archaeological heritage on banknotes of the world

Abstract

The master's thesis is devoted to the study of the world's currency signs, which depict archaeological and historical heritage. Several vivid examples of this practice of popularizing archaeological antiquities of different eras and cultures in the public space have been selected. Among them are the Hellenistic and Scythian cultures, as well as important historical monuments on the coins and banknotes of Ukraine, the classical ancient heritage on the coins of the Greek Republic, the unique archaeological heritage on the coins of the People's Republic of China, as well as the rich archaeological heritage of Ancient Egypt, represented on the coins of many countries the world.
