This work is dedicated to exploring audio documents as a special type of information resources used in the digital environment. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the classification of audio documents, the history of their development, as well as modern technologies for digitizing and archiving audio documents. The paper describes the technologies that allow preserving the authenticity of digital audio documents, as well as the prospects for using artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies to protect and manage them.
The use of phonodocuments in research, educational programs, media, culture, and law is also covered. The work is of practical value due to the developed recommendations for optimizing the processes of storing and accessing audio information in the digital environment.
