Abstract

The master's thesis explores the essence, form, and specifics of the phenomenon of memory politics and historical policy in the context of international conflicts. It examines how history influences the formation of national identity, aiming to assess its role in shaping foreign policy and inclusion as a crucial element of national security. The study includes a comparative analysis aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of using memory politics as an element of reconciliation and rehabilitation in societies that have experienced traumatic effects from their history. The work focuses on defining memory politics and historical policy as factors of both escalation and de-escalation in interstate relations and conflicts.
