Abstract

The master's work is aimed at researching the epithet as a stylistic device, revealing its structural and semantic types, describing the importance and features of the use of epithets in the belles-lettres, comparing and systematizing epithet constructions in male linguistic portraits based on Collin McCullough's novel “The Thorn Birds”.
