Abstract

The master's thesis «The position of the Roman Catholic Church in the USSR (20-80s of the XX century)» examines the influence of the Soviet regime on the development and functioning of the Roman Catholic Church during the 20th century. The study is devoted to the period from the beginning of the existence of the Soviet state to the era of perestroika, analyzing the interaction of the church and the state, the policy of repression, as well as changes in the position of the Church during the war conflicts and the post-war period.
