Oleksandra Yefimenko: woman historian against the background of the epoch

Abstract

The master's thesis is devoted to the analysis of the life of Oleksandra Yakivna Yefimenko and her development as a historian at the end of the 19th and 20th centuries. The research is based on the principles of historicism and objectivity with the involvement of general scientific and special historical methods. The work analyzes factors that influenced the development of Oleksandra Yefimenko as a scientist. It is shown in which social foundations the professional growth of an individual took place. The views of Oleksandra Yakivna on the history and culture of Ukraine are indicated in parallel with the views of other historians of her time. A conclusion was made regarding her contribution to historical science.
